The email to check

Most thorough: in Gmail, Outlook or Apple Mail use Show original or Download message, then paste or drop that. It includes the proof of who really sent it.

Results

Metis FoundrySpotting fake emails is the small version of what Metis does. For organizations, Metis checks the facts in AI-written reports, due-diligence files and insurance claims with the organizations that issued them, and runs a console where drones and ground robots wait for a person's approval before they act.

Your recent checks

Saved in this browser only, not on our servers, so you can come back to them.

Or forward it

Forward the suspicious email to this address from any mail app. Your verdict arrives by email in about a minute. Forward as attachment gives the fullest sender check.

What Metis checks

The senderWhether the sender's own mail servers really sent it, look-alike addresses like paypa1.com, and names that show a different address.
The linksLinks that say one website but go to another, shortened or hidden links, and links to bare internet addresses.
AttachmentsFile types often used to install malware or show fake sign-in pages.
Requests for moneyChanged bank details, wire requests, gift cards, crypto, replies that go elsewhere, and pressure to act now.
The claimsAthena, Metis's AI, reads what the email claims and flags what doesn't hold up, like a familiar invoice at a new amount.
Plain adviceWhat to do next, and the rule that stops most fraud: confirm by phone, on a number you already have.
Who's behind this

Metis Foundry builds more than Aletheia.

Aletheia is free. Here's what we build for organizations, and what's coming next.

Privacy

Metis doesn't keep the emails you check. They're used for the check and then discarded; we keep only the verdict, not who you are. Your results and reports are saved and made in your own browser, never on our servers, and you can clear them any time. To stop abuse we count checks per internet connection under a code that can't be turned back into your address, and the count is deleted after a day. We also count which Metis links get clicked, as daily totals with nothing about who clicked. If you choose Report this scam, we keep the scammer's details you share (never the email, nothing about you) to help investigators and banks. Automated checks can be wrong: when in doubt, contact the sender another way.

Government and military staff: don't paste or forward classified or controlled (CUI) information; use your official reporting channels.

Up to 30 checks a day.
